We’re on track to cross $100,000 in total lifetime fundraising this year, combined across everyone on the team.

Our story

U Hoppin’ On? has been playing for kids since 2015, when team captain Rudy built the team into what it is today. Most of us are Connecticut-based and raise for Connecticut Children’s, and a couple of teammates raise for their own home-state hospital — Extra Life lets every participant choose the hospital that means the most to them.

Every November, we host a Game Day full of tabletop gaming — board games, card games, Warhammer armies — plus LAN-party style console and PC gaming. Everyone brings their own gear, plays for a few hours or the full 24, and rallies friends and family to donate to the cause.

Game Day 2026

We’re taking over Legacy Gaming Lounge in Stratford for 24 hours of gaming for kids, from noon Saturday to noon Sunday. We started as a group of friends and coworkers, and Game Day has grown one friend at a time. Want to be part of it?
